The 2008 Rambouillet Vineyard has bright, faceted-acidity brilliance, juxtaposed with aromatics of dark, mysterious, forest floor- earthy and rich, characteristics present certainly due to Rambouillet vineyard's unique terrior. Up front, there is a cedar-like wood spice and tight fruit, releasing slowly to blood orange, black cherry and blackberry. Complex minerality expressing graphite, black tea, and chicory smoke give structure around a sweet, honey-vanilla earthiness and bold cola-fused raspberry flavors. The tannins provide a velvet-like texture, complimenting the bold flavors with youthful vitality.
